Many Countries Will Not Talk About Human Poop
These are topics people rarely talk about - anywhere in the world. In many countries the subject of human poop is taboo. In others it's just a repulsive subject. But Ultralight Field Toilet Company was formed to manufacture and market a product package that solves the pooping in the woods and what do we do with it - problem. A two-piece toilet in which both pieces fold to fit into a backpack with room left for the other stuff (the two pieces fasten together with two snaps. More info below) and a cat hole digger that makes it easy to dig a shallow hole to bury your poop and toilet paper (or the other things people leave on the ground like tampons, sanitary napkins, condoms, etc.).
Throughout the world, for millennia, people have squatted and pooped wherever they felt like it, with little ill-effect as far as we can determine. But now as cities literally explode with humanity, millions of people are streaming into wilderness and backcountry areas each week and their poop is now wrecking havoc on plants, wildlife, and nearby water sources, as microorganisms from human poop migrate to them. Dozens of government agencies are trying to deal with this growing "rural sanitation problem."
There's now emerging a typical scene in wilderness and backcountry. Hikers come upon toilet paper strewn about and the all too familiar smell of human poop. People too lazy to take the time to bury their poop; people to ignorant to realize the potential harm to wilderness and the wild things that live there; not packing the right gear to manage it.
Fortunately there are tens-of-thousands of people who use wilderness and backcountry regularly who do take the time to bury their poop (or they pack it out) or the wild place experience people crave would be all but impossible; the pollution too intolerable. We want to convert thousands more into good stewards of wilderness by educating them that it's in their own self-interest to manage their own poop while in the wild places. We provide the perfect solution: the Packit Toilet kit. The message is simple, every person who manages their own poop while in the wild places makes the wild place experience better - both for themselves and for others. In so doing, they become good stewards of wilderness. Ultralight Wilderness Toilet Company offers the best and lightest solution for a truly personal poop management system.
